The homeowners of this Phoenixville, Pennsylvania house were ready to give their entryway a new facelift. Their current entryway was an uncoordinated mess, they had a bright red door, black door shutters, and a white storm door. They wanted something more monochromatic and wanted to change the color of their old faded red front door to something more modern and elegant. In the process of replacing their front door, they also hoped to make the entrance to their home look grander by adding more glass in and around the door.

Fiberglass wood front door with sidelights

The homeowners sat down with our door specialist to look at samples, styles, and customizations. After gathering all the information the homeowners chose to replace the old entry door with a new fiberglass front door with sidelights from ProVia. They loved the idea of a wood door but not the maintenance that comes with it. The reason they chose the fiberglass door option is because we had an option to create a wood grain texture to the door finish. To enhance the “wood door” look they then elected their fiberglass door in a dark mahogany stain. To complement the door they opted for hardware in an antique brass stain. Additionally, since they wanted to go for a more elegant look they ordered the fiberglass door with a 3 quarter view window and 2 sidelights. Lastly, for some added detail they added an exterior grids and 3d panel embossing.

This replacement project completely transformed the look of the home, boosting the overall curb appeal and first impressions. Their old faded door was left in the past, and their new mahogany door took its place to provide a bold statement. The door’s dark color contrasts with the home’s light-colored stone exterior. The large amount of glass from the doors window and the sidelights also helped to achieve the elegant look they wanted and also increased the natural lighting in their home. Needless to say the upgraded front door and sidelights make the entire entryway brighter and more inviting than ever.
